Anthropic Turns Claude into an Assistant for Designers, Musicians, and 3D Artists

2 min read

Anthropic has introduced a new set of integrations for its Claude chatbot, allowing it to work directly within popular professional software for design, 3D modeling, music production, and engineering. These new connectors aim to transform Claude from a standalone chatbot into a fully integrated assistant within the user’s working environment.

The list of supported platforms includes Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender, Ableton, Autodesk Fusion, Affinity by Canva, SketchUp, Splice, as well as Resolume Arena and Resolume Wire. Each integration is tailored to the specific software’s features, enabling Claude to access the project’s context, analyze it, and execute actions based on text prompts.

One of the largest integrations is with Adobe Creative Cloud. Claude can interact with over 50 tools within the Adobe ecosystem, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Express, and other applications. Using natural language, users can alter compositions, edit colors, work with video, automate repetitive tasks, and deliver finished projects faster.

For Blender users, Anthropic has implemented one of the deepest integrations. Claude has gained access to the software’s Python API, allowing it to analyze scenes, generate custom automation scripts, batch-edit objects, debug errors, and even add new tools to the Blender interface without requiring the user to write code manually.

In the music production sector, Claude now supports Ableton and Splice. The assistant can answer questions using official Ableton Live and Push documentation, as well as help locate the right samples in the Splice library, significantly accelerating the workflow for music producers.

New capabilities are also available for Autodesk Fusion users, where Claude helps create and modify 3D models through casual conversation, and for SketchUp, where simply describing an idea in text is enough to generate an initial model for further editing.

Anthropic emphasizes that Claude is not intended to replace the creative process or the professional skills of specialists. Its main role is to automate routine tasks, speed up complex operations, and help professionals focus on creative solutions rather than mechanical work.

The company is paying special attention to the development of the Model Context Protocol open standard. The new connectors are built on this very protocol, allowing Claude to integrate with various programs through a unified standard. In the future, this could form a universal ecosystem where AI interacts with professional applications regardless of their developer.

In addition to launching the new integrations, Anthropic also announced its support for Blender’s development by making a financial contribution to the open-source project. The company notes that this should contribute to the further improvement of the Python API and the growth of an open ecosystem for integrating modern AI tools.
